Absolutely unique and charming. Excellent food, perfectly seasoned, a wide variety of choices, including the best Crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. There is absolutely nothing fancy here and that’s an important part of its charm. Friendly, helpful staff. We came upon Home Taste accidentally while looking for a different restaurant and I am glad we did. It reminds me of small restaurants in Asian neighborhoods in Toronto. Go there, order something you’ve never tried. We’ll be back soon!

The staff is extremely friendly, and the takeout service is fast. The dumplings are amazing (specifically, the pork and Napa). I also got the spicy crispy chicken, but that was a bit dry and tough. I will be back for the dumplings and soups. I have a feeling the fried chicken was not representative of the entire menu quality. Something tells me I will be happy again and again as I return.

The food is the best although the restaurant has very limited seating. This restaurant has the most authentic Chinese cuisine in Buffalo.

HomeTaste is hands-down the best Chinese food I’ve had in Buffalo. Everything was bursting with authentic flavor and came out fast, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I tried several dishes and loved every one: The Mapo Tofu with Beef was beautifully spicy and savory with that signature numbing Sichuan heat, perfectly balanced with tender beef and silky tofu. The Egg Tofu was delicate, rich, and lightly crisped on the outside, absolute comfort food! Stir-Fried Green Beans and Cabbage are classics, both dishes were simple but incredibly flavorful. The Chongqi Little Noodles were chewy, spicy, though it is a special, my group agreed that it wasn’t a favorite compared to the other dishes. The Fish Soup with Clear Noodles were light, fragrant, and soothing; a great contrast to the spicier plates. The food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive. The space is very small, so it’s worth keeping that in mind if you’re planning to dine in, but it adds to the cozy, home-style charm. If you’re looking for authentic, flavor-packed Chinese cuisine in Buffalo, HomeTaste is an absolute must-visit!

Authentic and delicious Chinese food. The Northeastern dishes are excellent, and the lady boss is warm, friendly, and beautiful. The dumplings are handmade, with generous filling and juicy broth. The pickled cabbage is homemade and naturally fermented.
